The racing world has seen a string of crashes. Autobild reported that a 9ff GT9R crashed at VMax Armageddon 2010 Bruntingthorpe on March 13.
The highly modified Porsche 911 race car, 1135 bhp, crashed into the track during a high-speed braking maneuver. Fortunately no one was injured. For the event, the car was number 00/20.
9ff didn’t mention the crash in their most recent newsletter. However, they did mention that the car had set a new speed record at the track and reached a top speed of 356 km/h (222 mph). The car did this in its 5th gear, as the track was too short to allow for a shift into sixth.
On March 30, a GT3 RS crashed on an autobahn in Germany. This tragically killed its driver, 39 year old, and his wife, 40 years old. On March 31, a Pagani C9 testing mule also crashed.
