There are many types of recreational vehicles in the world. We’ve been focusing on the smaller options like the JDM Ford camper and the Tesla-based Roamer currently in production. The Motor1.com RV offer today is almost the exact opposite. The Unicat motorhome is the latest go-anywhere model.
In November, Unicat Expedition Vehicles showed us a model similar to this. The new model is also based upon the massive Man TGS6x6, but it has some notable differences. It doesn’t include a matching trailer but is better equipped for off-road adventures. The video host calls it an extreme offroader. It features two huge built-in winches at the front and back. The central tire inflation system is also included. This 6×6 truck has enough ground clearance to host your child’s birthday party. The 540-horsepower (403 kilowatts) diesel will take you there. If you get lost, the 211-gallon (808-liter) fuel tank can get you around 1,240 miles (2,200 kilometers).
Even if you run out of fuel, the Unicat will keep you happy and safe until help arrives. We aren’t given details with regards to electric power or water capacity, but the interior is outfitted to take care of six people and features a sizable kitchen with a stove, oven, refrigerator/freezer, and a microwave. The front features a large dining area with seating and sleeping space, while the rear has a private bedroom with double beds. Between the two is a full-service bathroom that includes a sink, toilet and shower.
This Unicat is being delivered to a customer in Mongolia. Unicat does not provide pricing information on custom built Unicats, but you can expect that this type of off-road vehicle with luxury accommodations will be expensive. We believe it is worth every penny to reach remote areas of the Globe while having some comfort and home with you.
