The controversy surrounding the “Real People”, TV ad for Chevrolet doesn’t seem to be going away, even though the carmaker has taken the commercial out of circulation. Mahk and Dave Irwin (or Mahk) are a comedian who, with Ali Shahriari, runs the Youtube channel Zebra Corner. They don’t believe what the Golden Bow Tie wants people to believe and have found the best way to make the commercial better and add his own ideas to it. Chevrolet already removed the ad and issued the following statement:

Chevrolet stands behind the reliability claim. The ad is still in the brand’s toolbox, but we have decided that it will be removed from the regular rotation to launch new Silverado content. Because of concerns about the accuracy of our ads, we have not changed our marketing campaign. We won’t comment on conversations between other manufacturers.”
