The wheels are not matched properly and the rear bumper has been cut. This suggests that development is still underway.

Porsche offers a wide range of options for the next-gen 911. A new set of spy photos could give us our first glimpse at the GTS. It would be similar to the current model but it wouldn’t offer as much performance as the 911 Turbo.

This test mule (above right) is certainly different from spy photos of the past. The front fascia looks more aggressive, with more prominent intake slats. The lower splitter is also prominent. Porsche hides these panels with black tape but it doesn’t conceal anything.

This profile shows a mismatched set wheels on the test mule. The front ones have five sets with dual spokes while the rear has a Y-spoke design. Both have a gunmetal finish. They also appear larger than the standard 911 brake discs.

The test mule is much more taped and has cut-out sections than the standard 911. Although the changes indicate that the GTS will eventually have an aggressive exhaust, the final pieces of the GTS are not on this model. The section’s form is obscured by concealment at the taillights. A r ecent spy photo revealed the final design.

The GTS will share the same biturbo flat-six engine as the 911 Carrera trims, but with a slight power increase. Some of Porsche’s performance options, such as adaptive dampers and the Sport Chrono package, will be standard.

According to reports, the new 911 will debut in 2019 and go on sale later in the year. However, the GTS and turbo trims won’t likely be available at launch.
