Can feed 5,000 people per hour
A good barbecue is a must-have for anyone. Every man who is self-respecting knows how to use a grill to cook the best meats. A cookout is an opportunity to have fun with your family and friends, and it’s a great way to bond. Do you know what is better than a single barbecue grill? A 76-foot barbecue. Multiple doors allow you and your friends to join in. Make sure to clear all parking areas for the Peterbilt with its smoking cargo.
This episode of Ridiculous rides is a video that shows a car that’s centered on what makes a true Texasan – great BBQ. Terry Folsom, a trucker for over 30 years, bought the Peterbilt 379 extended-hood in 1997. The cab isn’t all that special. But what is behind it? The world’s largest barbecue grill is located behind the cab at a staggering 76 feet. Terry is a true-Texan truck driver and a passionate smoker. This was a natural choice for him. Combine your passions to make it enjoyable for all. The trailer weighs in at 80,000 lbs, while the truck is 22,000 lb. This trailer took six months to construct and can cook anywhere between 8,000 and 12,000 pounds of meat. The smoker is also integrated into the trailer’s rear, proudly showing off Texas. Terry, his family and a few other chefs have planned a huge cookout for local first responders.
It takes two and a quarter hours to heat the trailer enough to cook. Moving it around requires several escort vehicles, patience, and a lot of patience as it is both too heavy and too long. Terry and his family also provide large-scale food service in times of need and charity work. The trailer can cook overtime to feed as many as 5,000 people per day. It’s very cool.
