Urus Evo, is that you?
The Lamborghini Urus was a supercar that rocked the world in 2018 when it went into production. It wasn’t just because it was a Lambo SUV. This large people-mover could rival supercars at 60 mph and accelerate to 186 mph from its twin-turbocharged, 4.0-liter V8. Although it hasn’t changed much since its debut, there are plans to make improvements.
A Urus is the latest example, with a plate bearing the manufacturer number and some test equipment at its back. Varryx uploaded the clip to YouTube. It is presumably Lamborghini’s slice in Italy near Sant’Agata Bolognese. There’s no hiding place for spy videos, not even camouflage wraps or other clever covers. The Urus appears to be a normal model that you can purchase right now. But, when it passes the camera, we see two microphones attached to the rear. These are aiming at the dual exhaust tips on either side of the fascia. Interesting.
Why would Lamborghini be sampling the exhaust note from a Urus Decibel readings may be required to test certification if there are any upgrades to the engine or exhaust system. This is the obvious answer. However, it’s possible to do simple research and develop the existing setup. It could also be sound sampling for a project. However, it would seem odd that the Urus would drive so carefully when the spy camera is present.
We’ll give you some insight into what is happening. We have yet to see any changes in the Urus’ design, even though it is three years old. We may be hearing a preview of the future from camouflaged prototypes .
