If you can’t afford the droptop Nissan GT-R GT-R, this is the alternative.
Liberty Walk presented a bizarre bodykit to the Daihatsu Copen last year. It gave the tiny roadster the look of a Nissan GT-R. The shots of the car with the strange hood made it look melting. The Copen gets a new look thanks to the Japanese company.
Liberty Walk has four components in its kit, but the front bumper is the most striking. The firm uses the GT-R’s piece, but reduces it to fit on the Copen. Unexpectedly, the result matches the Daihatsu aesthetics.
Liberty Walk also offers fender extensions. These are the trademark Liberty Walk design. They’re the most popular part of the design. The huge, extravagant shape makes the wheels appear small, especially in the rear. However, the vented front pieces are not as bad.
The new rear bumper has large exhaust holes, so customers will need to purchase pipes that can fill the space. The space at the center is taken up by diffuser strakes. A large, fixed wing attaches to trunk.
Buyers can modify the powertrain as they wish, since this kit is only a bodykit. The roadster is equipped with a 658cc three-cylinder engine. It produces 63 horsepower (47 Kilowatts) as well as 68 pound-feet of torque (92 Newton-meters). A five-speed manual transmission is available with a limited-slip differential. The CVT sends the power to the front wheels. An available Bilstein suspension lets buyers spec a sportier ride.
