The 2021 Ford Bronco is beginning to take shape.
We are less than one week away from Ford unveiling the 2021 Bronco and the teasers just keep coming. The Bronco’s latest Instagram post gives us a look at the crossover’s rugged rear and suspension. The license plate also teases the release date for the Bronco – 071320 on July 13, 2020.
Dearborn-based automaker Ford has released a teaser video to promote the SUV’s iconic brand. However, high-riding vehicles continue taking market share. Ford teased this month the Bronco’s front, giving us a glimpse at the grille and headlights as well as the bold Bronco branding.
New teaser shows us the bumper in black and the suspension beneath. The new teaser also shows how Ford places the Bronco’s spare on the rear bumper. There’s a cutout in there to allow for this. An earlier teaser showcased the Bronco’s short rear overhang, taillight, as well as the spare tire. Other goodies include the Ford badge, the tow hook and the tailpipe. These are hidden under the Bronco’s rear overhang and can be difficult to see in the shadows.
Although we have known for many years about the Ford Bronco’s return, there is still much to learn about the off-roader. Rumours suggest that either the 2.7-liter twin turbo V6 Ford or the smaller EcoBoost unit could be the powertrain. This could make it the entry-level engine. It’s not clear if the engine will come with an automatic or manual gearbox. According to rumors, you can row your own gears in the new Bronco.
Ford will unveil the Bronco this July 13 and customers can reserve one for $100. This is a great deal, but it’s likely to only be a fraction the SUV’s initial price. It should start at around $30,000, and will compete directly with the Jeep Wrangler, and Toyota 4Runner.
