SpeedKore Introduces All Carbon-Fiber Dodge Demon for SEMA

The supercharged V8 of 6.2-liters produces 1,200 horsepower.

SpeedKore will be making waves at 2019 SEMA Show. The company already has a Dodge Charger, which has little in common to the classic 1970 American car. The Wisconsin-based tuner also has a product on display. However, it is Dodge. SpeedKore and Big Machine Label Group President/CEO Scott Borchetta teamed up to create a Dodge Challenger SRT Demon that offers better performance.

Jim Kacmarcik of SpeedKore Performance Group says, “The SpeedKore Team likes nothing more than a challenge.” We understand Scott’s expectations so we worked closely together from the design concept through to execution. He created his vision of a powerful vehicle that was both strong and represents both SpeedKore as well as Big Machine.

The SpeedKore Demon was made unique by the aftermarket tuning company. They increased horsepower and rebuilt the bodywork in carbon fibre – which is the company’s strength. The 6.2-liter Hemi Hemi V8 engine is still under the hood. However, it now produces 1,200 horsepower at the crank and delivers 980 horsepower to the ground. SpeedKore did not modify the bottom of the engine. However, Gearhead Fabrications assisted SpeedKore in adding a Whipple supercharger to the engine and upgrading the throttle body as well as the cold-air intake. They also added larger fuel injectors.

SpeedKore retained a large amount of the Demon stock including the suspension, transmission and brakes, surprisingly. SpeedKore plans to upgrade the suspension and brakes so that the Demon can handle better at race tracks. The Demon is equipped with 20-by-11-inch HRE Series C105 forged wheels in three-piece, wrapped in 315/30 ZR20 Pirelli Corsa tires.

The company’s mechanical improvements are enough to make it attractive, but the company is also known for its extensive use carbon fiber. The company created the Demon’s entire bodywork using carbon fiber. This includes the front bumper and front splitter, rockers, rockers, hood, roof and quarter panels. It also covers mirror covers, trunk lid, trunk spoiler and trunk bumper. The parts were all hand-made before being painted in PPG Big Machine Red.
