Singer Bringing Two Gorgeous Air-Cooled Porsche 911s To Goodwood

We are eager to see the 964s climb the hill.

Singer is known for making some of the most cool custom air-cooled Porsche 911s in the world. The COVID-19 pandemic is not stopping Singer’s progress in California, where two new 964-era 911s by Singer are expected to grace the 2021 Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Singer’s Dynamics and Lightweighting Study (DLS) is actually the twins. Singer goes extra mile to make classic 911 restorations lighter, faster and more efficient, as the name implies. We are impressed by the statistics. These cars feature a 4.0-liter flat-six naturally aspirated engine that produces no less than 500 horsepower (373kilowatts) at 9,000 RPM. You can get all sorts of carbon-fiber upgrades to improve aero and reduce weight.

Singer will build 75 DLS 911s to specific customer specifications. No two 911s should be identical, as shown here with the Oxford commission, a dark green 911. It has an exterior color called Oak Green Metallic, accented by Champagne trim, and an interior that is finished in Bone White with Tartan seat center. The Unico commission’s light green 911 wears Absinthe Green as an exterior shade. It features nickel trim and Blood Orange outside and inside, creating sharp contrasts.

Both 911s have a lightweight rear suspension and a double-wishbone front suspension. The cars are equipped with modern assistance such as stability control and traction. Drivers can also get the most out of their Singer 911s with a variety of drive modes.

Singer’s new UK location, where the DLS cars are being manufactured, is also announced. Singer’s debut at Goodwood is a kind of homecoming.

“We’ve seen so many milestones at Goodwood, from launching our first Targa Restoration on the Cartier Lawn to sharing our 10th Anniversary with our clients driving our cars on the Hillclimb,” Mazen Fawaz, Singer CEO. “It is fitting that our new chapter, the first two examples of Dynamics and Lightweighting Study client-specification, are providing another first at Goodwood.”

The 2021 Goodwood Festival of Speed is from July 8 to July 11.
