Hennessey drops a V8 in a Raptor to create the VelociRaptorV8

This supercharged V8 engine produces 758 horsepower.

The Hennessey VeloCiRaptor nameplate doesn’t have a new. It has been used by the Texan tuner for several years to signify modified Ford Raptor pickup truck trucks. The most important upgrade is not hidden in the VelociRaptor Ve8. The new Raptor was introduced by Ford with a twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6 that produces 450 horsepower. Hennessey discovered a niche for Raptor enthusiasts who wanted a powerful V8 under the hood, even though it was more powerful than the 6.2-liter V8 in the previous-generation Raptor.

The Hennessey VeloCiRaptor V8 replaces the EcoBoost V6 with a supercharged, 5.0-liter V8. The engine’s performance is not typical. An aftermarket tuner added a 2.9-liter supercharger to the engine. This system produces seven psi boost pressure. With 570 horsepower, the engine produces 758 horsepower. The pickup truck can reach 60 mph from a stop in just 4.1 seconds. This is Mustang GT performance territory. The quarter-mile race is completed in 12.2 seconds, at 115 mph.

John Hennessey, founder and CEO of the company, said that he was so happy to announce his VelociRaptor V8. This is the first and only V8-powered Gen 2 Ford Raptor. Since the first Raptor was released in early 2017, customers have been asking for V8 options for their Raptors. We listened to their requests and are thrilled to fulfill this market need. It is worth the effort to hear the VelociRaptorV8.

Other than the new engine, there are many upgrades to the truck. Hennessey also adds VelociRaptor rear and front bumpers, LED lights front and back, a Stage 2 offroad suspension with a six inch lift, Hennessey 20″ wheels, 37-inch BF Goodrich KM03 tires, Hennessey exterior badges, Hennessey embroidered headboards, and serial numbered plaques to the interior and engine bay.

Hennessey VelociRaptorV8 is priced at $ 147.950. This includes the price for a 2019 Raptor. Hennessey produces only 100 units. The VelociRaptor V8 comes with a three-year/36,000-mile warranty that covers the Ford truck and conversion. The HennesseyVelociRaptor V8 made its debut at the 2018 SEMA Show.
