This design seems to be a great fit for the Hummer EV.
General Motors applied for a trademark to use a logo that shows Hummer EVO (see above), in the United States on 8/7/2020. This emblem was described in the paperwork as being for “motor land vehicles; bikes; apparatus for locomotion on land”.
This logo has not yet been granted GM protection by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. This process can take several months. It seems quite clear, however, that this is the plan of the company for the GMC Hummer EV.
This logo’s “Hummer” section appears identical to the font treatment shown on the images of the grille of the vehicle. The letters are centered have hard edges, such as in the downstrokes.
The Hummer EV is a four-door pickup. Acceleration to 60 mph (96 km/h) will take about 3.0 seconds.
The truck will use GM’s Ultium lithium battery pack. This will allow for 50-kilowatt hours to 200-kWh capacities. This will give it a range up to 400 miles (644 km). It can also charge at 350 kilowatts.
The cabin will be a mixture of high-tech features and practical ones. Large screens will be used for infotainment and instruments. The roof panels can be removed by the owners to allow for open-air experiences.
The GMC Hummer EV, which will be available in the fall, won’t go on sale until 2021. It will only be available as a 2022 model-year product. The estimated starting price is $70,000. The vehicle will be built by the highly updated Detroit-Hamtramck plant.
