Geneva unveils the Volkswagen Bulli concept

Bulli concept, an electric vehicle and the most recent version of the Microbus design, seats 6 people in a 3+3 configuration.

The Bulli is a Microbus version that can seat six people in a 3+3 configuration. It measures 3.99m in length, 1.75m wide and 1.70m high. The wheelbase is slightly longer (4 cm) than the Golf’s at 2.62m, but the Bulli requires a wider track (1.50m) for the 3-seater benches.

A 40 kWh lithium-ion batteries supplies power to an 85 kW motor (115 PS/113 bhp), which also produces 260 Nm torque (192 lbft). The time from 0 to 100 km/h (62 MPH) takes 11.5 seconds. Electronically, the top speed is limited to 140 km/h/87 mph.

Two-tone exterior paint pays homage to the original Samba Bus. The Bulli’s distinctive ‘V” on the front bonnet is a nod to the original Samba Bus. This concept also comes with chrome hubcaps and alloy wheels of 18 inches.

The cabin contains a removable iPad that acts as the multi-function touchscreen and handles navigation. There is no tachometer or gearshift. The dash has a rotary switch that allows you to engage forward or reverse gears.

In case VW wants to bring this concept to market, the concept can also be fitted with diesel and petrol engines from VW.
