A mid-engine V8 hot hatch is something to love.
This is the Sbarro Super Eight that was ever made, and it’s for sale. This is the first time you’ve heard of this brand and model. Let’s tell you more about it.
Sbarro, a Swiss company that develops high-performance replicas as well as custom sports cars, is called Sbarro. Franco Sbarro founded the company in 1971. It is responsible for some the most innovative and legal vehicles on the road today. The Super Eight mega-hatchback is a similar model.
It was constructed in 1984 and shares many of its body details with Super Twelve, which was released in 1982. It featured a mid-mounted, 2.6-liter V12 motor. It was powered by two Kawasaki Z1300 six cylinder motorcycle engines. Sbarro created a simpler version of the car two years later, with a Ferrari 308-sourced V8 motor and a five-speed manual transmission. This car is available for sale in Belgium.
According to the ad, the car is in “perfect” condition, road legal and ready for presentation at auto enthusiasts’ concourses. There are many photos of the actual car that show it in its current state. It also has Swiss registration plates. The exterior is finished with a deep red color and the interior has a mixture of brown leather, wood trim and suede carpets.
According to the official technical specifications, the car weighs in at 1,763 pounds (853 kilograms). It has a peak power output of 260 horsepower (194 Kilowatts), which is delivered to the rear wheels. The car’s top speed is estimated at 137 miles an hour (220 km per hour).
The car is still available at the time of writing this article with no reserve on at $50,000. There have been 83 bids so far. We expect the auction to end on Monday. If not, we anticipate that the final price will be near $60,000 or more.
