Which is better, the sports car or muscle car?
The Corvette’s naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 produces 490 horsepower (365 Kilowatts) or 465 pound-feet (631 Newton meters) in the standard tune. The back has two exhausts, one on each side. The normal mode of the ‘Vette produces a subdued sound. At startup, there is a little burble but it soon settles down to a steady hum. The engine can really sing when you open the flaps. The mill produces a raspy sound as the revs increase. Below the noise is a low note.
Challenger Hellcat is equipped with a supercharger that helps it produce 707 horsepower (527 kW) as well as 650 lb/ft (881 Nm). Each side of the rear bumper has a trapezoidal exhaust outlet. The forced induction system’s whine is not evident from the pipes from the back. The Hellcat’s exhaust has more bass. The exhaust produces a low rumble even at idle, and it roars when you press the throttle.
It is up to you which vehicle sounds best. The Corvette’s noise is more exotic while the Challenger sounds more like a classic muscle car. You can be sure that the aftermarket will have a wide range of options if the ‘Vette wants to sound different.
