German tuner creates another “rocket” based on CLS, which is the ultimate sedan with 800 HP.
Brabus, a German tuner, will bring the 2012 Brabus Rocket 800, based upon the Mercedes-Benz CLS to Frankfurt tomorrow for an official debut.
The Rocket 800’s V12 is dialed up from 800 PS on the CLS to 588 kW / 789 HP, while torque is limited to 1,100 Nm (811 Lb-ft), but the engine can produce 1,420 Nm (1047lb-ft). The Rocket 800’s transmission is the 7-speed AMG Speedshift, MCT. This allows it to accelerate from 0 – 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds. It can also reach a maximum speed of 370 km/h (223 mph). In 23.8 seconds, the car can reach 300 km/h (186 MPH)
The body kit includes large air intakes for the reworked engine, along with the usual fittings such as wider wheel arches and a big rear wing.
The lightweight Brabus Monoblock F Platinum Edition wheels are used. The cabin is also finished in an extremely luxurious finish.
This ultimate sedan is priced at EUR429,000, excluding taxes.
