There are two four-cylinder engines available.
In Europe, the light commercial vehicle segment has seen a rapid growth in recent years. Numerous mainstream brands such as Renault, Ford and Peugeot now offer compact vehicles that can be used both by the business and the families who live active lifestyles. A premium model from Stuttgart joins this segment.
Based on the bones, the new Mercedes-Benz T-Class is unveiled all-new Renault Kangoo The, which debuted in November 2020. While many small and compact cars are sold in Europe with three-cylinder engines, the offers a variety of turbocharged four-cylinder units. A base 1.5-liter diesel engine produces 95 horsepower (70 kilowatts), and a stronger diesel with 116 horsepower (85 kW) is available. There are two gas motors available, both with displacements of 1.3 Liters. They produce 102 horsepower (75 kW), and 131 horsepower (96 kW) respectively.
Optionally, the diesel engine can be combined with the more powerful gasoline engine using a seven-speed dual clutch transmission. Standard gearboxes are a six-speed manual. During the model’s lifetime, a fully-electric version will be added.
The new T-Class comes standard with a touchscreen display of 7.0 inches, smartphone integration, multifunctional steering wheels, keyless entry and start, interior LED lighting, and keyless entry and exit. There are two options for equipment: Style and Preogressive. Each has a unique take on interior and exterior trim, options, and styling elements. Every new T-Class comes with seven airbags, regardless of trim level.
The new Mercedes van will be available soon from Mercedes with prices starting at under EUR30,000 or around $32,000 depending on current exchange rates. The base T160 includes a 1.3-liter gasoline engine and a manual transmission. The base Renault Kangoo is priced at EUR20,000 in Europe ($21,357).
