Imagine the sounds this watercraft would make.
is going to auction a Lamborghini-miura-motor1-legends%22%7D speedboat. This will allow the Lamborghini fan to bring his or her love for the brand to the sea. The name of the vessel is Miura just like the Italian supercar.
This aluminum monohull boat measuring 38 feet was built by Cantieri Uniti Viareggio. The boat originally had two V8 engines, but it was soon replaced by a pair Lamborghini V12s. Each engine produces 720 horsepower (537kilowatts), which makes it capable of speeding across the water.
Alberto Petri took this boat to the 1984 Union Internationale Motonautique European Championship. He was also instrumental in helping Cantieri Uniti Viareggio win a World Championship. Petri raced the speedboat in 1985 as a privateer.
It is worth noting, however, that Lamborghini V12s designed for marine use differ from the road-going models. The displacement of the engine will vary depending on the model. It could be as low as 8.0 liters or even as high at 9.0 liters. You can effectively put several of these engines into a speedboat to create a supercar on water.
These unique styling details make this boat stand out. One side of the boat has a painting that shows an Italian flag. It’s slowly chipping away to give it some patina. Another image shows a racing ram wearing racing overalls and a helmet. Another image shows a ram wearing racing overalls and holding a helmet.
The cockpit looks like a mid-century multi-engine aircraft. There are many gauges, switches, buttons. To avoid damage to the engine, the new owner must be familiar with this type watercraft.
RM Sotheby’s does not offer an estimate of the auction price but the boat will be on the block on November 19. A transport trailer for the boat is included in the sale, as well as a Cantieri Uniti Viareggio 25th Anniversary book.
