Porsche’s EV receives a visual overhaul.
Because electric vehicles don’t have wild styling, automakers tend to focus on aerodynamic efficiency in order to maximize their range. New entrants such as the Porsche Taycan give their designs a little more flair. Avante Design has created new body kits to make the electrified sedan more sporty.
Avante Design It was inspired by the track-oriented body kit of the Taycan, says the company. Porsche 911 GT3 RS . The sedan receives a new front bumper that features larger intakes and a more defined design. This flows into the wider front fenders and under-headlight intake. The one-kit design includes fender vents, and a hood with two vents. The car is positioned low above the tires which adds to its visual presence. It’s also accented with wider fenders.
Avante Design has borrowed heavily from the GT3 RS to create a lot more at the rear. The diffuser is getting a new design. However, it has been modified because the Taycan does not have exhaust pipes. This was, according to Avante Design, a difficult design. The diffuser’s center brake light, located on the diffuser gives the car a sporty appearance. It also has new aero fins. All this hardware is located below a new lip spoiler, or a huge wing depending on which kit you have.
The Taycan’s sleek design is enhanced by the addition of two body kits. Even though the body kits are more busy at the front and back, the car is still more slender than the standard model. Many body kits for the electric Porsche emphasise sportiness by adding wider fenders and new front and rear fascias. Avante Designs is the latest company to cater to the growing number of EV enthusiasts.
