2021 Toyota Venza Goes Sporty With TRD Parts In Japan

An aero kit can be used to modify the front and back bumpers.

Toyota Japan will sell the 2021 Venza Harrier. The same sheet metal is used, but the name has been changed. Additionally, the company offers some more sporty aftermarket parts to the crossover. The upgrades are mostly cosmetic and don’t affect the vehicle’s performance. However, there are some functional parts that can be used. These minor upgrades add pizzazz the new offering.

Although visual upgrades are minimal, they can enhance the crossover’s appearance. An aero kit is available that includes a front spoiler and side skirts, as well as a rear bumper spoiler and quad-exit muffler in one package. There are also exterior upgrades such as a spoiler between hatch glass and taillights and a body stripe and front bumper garnishes. The functional upgrade is GR’s “performance damper” which improves ride comfort as well as handling.

The Venza is back in the USA after a six-year absence. This wagon-like crossover was discontinued following the 2015 model year. The model 2021 looks more premium than the 2015 model. It also features a premium hybrid powertrain. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine is paired with three electric motors to produce 219 horsepower (163 megawatts). According to the automaker, the continuously variable transmission transmits power to all four wheels via a continuous variable transmission. This should allow the family vehicle to achieve a combined fuel efficiency rating of 40 MPG.

Surprisingly this is not the first set of aftermarket parts for new Venza. Artisan Spirits unveiled their visual upgrades to the crossover late last year. They spruced up the front bumpers and rear bumpers, as well as adding more definition to the hood. The Venza, the latest Toyota hybrid model, joins the RAV4 hybrid and Highlander hybrid models. Pricing should be between the two at around $35,000. The 2021 Toyota Venza is expected to arrive in dealerships by the end of this summer.
