2012 Peugeot 4008 revealed

The 4008 SUV is the successor of the 4007. The new model will be unveiled at the Geneva motor show next year and go on sale in the second quarter 2012.

Peugeot’s new SUV, the 4008, has been unveiled. The new Peugeot 4008 SUV will only be available in Europe as a 4×4 and will have three drive modes: 2×4, 4×4, or LOCK, which is permanent all-wheel driving.

2012 Peugeot 4008 revealed

The 4008 was first seen as the HR1 Concept, which debuted in Paris last January. It is based upon the Mitsubishi ASX platform.

The petrol engines will be the 1.6i, which has 115 PS (85kW/114 hp), and 152 Nm (112 Lb-ft). The 2.0i has 150 PS (113kW/148 hp) as well as 198 Nm (146lb-ft). Each comes standard with a 5-speed manual.

2012 Peugeot 4008 revealed

The 1.6 HDi diesel engine has 110 PS (82kW/109 hp), 270 Nm (1999 lbft) of torque, and the 1.8 HDi which has 150 PS (110kW/148 hp and 300 Nm (221 Lb-ft). Standard equipment includes a six-speed manual gearbox.

The global debut of the 4008 at the 2012 Geneva motorshow will be made. It will then go on sale in all markets in the second quarter next year.
