The 458 Italia Spider will debut later in the year, with production and delivery slated for early 2012.
Our colleagues at TeamSpeed.com have provided more details about the Ferrari 458 Italia Spider.
According to the most recent report, the 458 Italia Spider will get a folding hard-top top roof. It will also feature, for the first-time in more than a decade, a two-seat Ferrari Spider, without a transparent engine cover. The 458 Italia coupe still has the same power.
Teamspeed was informed by a source that Ferrari held a show of the 458 Spider at its headquarters in Maranello last Wednesday. It included two examples – one in Rosso/Tan, and one in Nero/Tan.
According to the report, production will begin in the new year and the official unveiling will take place this fall. The European deliveries to the continent will start in the first quarter 2012, while UK deliveries will commence in the third quarter. The United States will receive the vehicle in the third quarter.
