2020 Shelby Mustang GT500 with Painted Stripes is an Additional $10,000 [UPDATE]

Is it worth it

Ford confirmed the starting price of the 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. However, we don’t know much about other options. Although the leaked order book gives some insight, Ford has yet to confirm that prices will change once the new Mustang arrives on the roads later in the year. The painted stripes, which cost $10,000, was one of the most expensive options in the order guide. This is a high price. Above is a new video that confirms the leak of the order guide. It reaffirms the $10,000 painted racing stripes.

According to the Speed Phenom YouTube Channel video, the painted stripes cost $10,000 as Ford had to ship the car from Penske.

The gaps that are often found in vinyl stripes are eliminated by the painted stripes. Vinyl stripes have a tendency to end at the edge of the body panel. The painted stripes wrap around the panel’s edge without leaving any gaps. This is a major difference between the different stripe types. Vinyl stripes were listed as an option in the leaked order guide at $1,000. Ford has been contacted to confirm that the painted stripes are available at a $10,000 price. One of the most expensive options for the GT500 is the painted racing stripes.

According to the leaked order guide, a black roof costs $695 and a carbon-fiber instrument panel $1,000. Recaro seats cost $1,500. It is easy to make the GT500’s price exceed six figures.

The Mustang’s output is another significant figure. It produces 760 horsepower (567kilowatts) as well as 625 pound-feet (847 Newton meters) from its supercharged V8 engine. Ford claims that the GT500 can travel 0-100-0 miles an hour (0-161-0 km/h) in 10.6 seconds and a quarter-mile time of less than 11 seconds. Ford limits the GT500’s top speed to 180 mph (289.6 km/h).

We will have to wait to confirm the option prices if Ford does not respond. We won’t have long to wait, hopefully. The GT500 will be available later in the year.
