The company plans to make versions for a spyder, speedster, and roadster.

It’s possible that we’d have seen more aftermarket accessories for the C8 Chevrolet Corvette in a normal world. Although 2020 is not normal, even Standard Corvette production has been greatly affected by coronavirus. These preliminary designs from competition Carbon could indicate that the delays might be worth it.

Although the C8 isn’t bad looking, it may be too small for some mid-engine supercars. Competition Carbon has a history of turning up the aesthetic volume on cars such as the Lamborghini Huracan. The company also knows the Corvette from the past. We have seen recent Instagram posts that give us a peek into Competition Carbon’s world, including previews of different versions of the C8RR.

While the body kits are still being designed, Muscle Cars and Trucks says that they plan to have all the components ready for next year’s SEMA Show in Las Vegas. This isn’t just about bolt-on rocker panels or a spoiler. The C8RR Speedster takes out the headlights and the freaking windscreen, while also adding a widebody kit and massive side intakes. A restyled exhaust exits through the engine cover.

The company plans to sell the bizarre body kit on C8 Corvettes with a folding or fixed roof if that seems too extreme. Fixed roof models and spyder models will be equipped with a cool roof scoop that will funnel air into the 6.2-liter V8. This stock will, at this point, reportedly stay in stock. For those who wish to experience the C8RR’s shock-and-awe after-dark, models with headlights are also available.

The body kit will include parts made of various carbon fiber weaves and fiberglass reinforced plastic. Muscle Cars and Trucks reports pricing is in the $15,000-$30,000 range with a target production rate of 6-10 body kits per annum.
