Infiniti Qs Inspiration Concept Previews Sporty, Electric Sedan

The Chinese market will be the first to see the brand’s electric offensive.

Infiniti revealed the first look at the Qs Inspiration Concept earlier in the month. The Japanese premium company, Infiniti, presented the concept at the 2019 Auto Shanghai. It features a raised driving position and an all-wheel electric drive. This isn’t just a design study.
Infiniti The Qs Inspiration is a preview of a future production model that hints at the company’s electrified future. This car is built on a new architecture that will serve as the foundation for future EVs.

The vehicle also has an important mission: it hints at Infiniti’s future design language for electric cars. Karim Habib led the design team that created the concept. The manufacturer believes the vehicle gives the “three-box” sedan a fresh interpretation. It features new exterior proportions as well as a spacious interior that feels more lounge-like.

Alfonso Albaisa senior vice president for Global Design, Nissan, stated that designers are continually inspired by the technology of their engineers and the Japanese design influences that are part of their DNA.

Infiniti also announced that its first generation of electric vehicles will now be built in China to serve the local market. Infiniti promises “high-performance and low-emissions models that offer a thrilling driving environment and total range confidence.”

Christian Meunier (chairman of Infiniti), stated that China has the greatest potential for electric cars globally. He also highlighted the premium segment. “The age of electricity presents us with an opportunity for renewal as an innovative challenger brand ready to move swiftly and decisively within this exciting and growing market.”
