Party on the inside, business on the outside.

Carlex Design is now focusing its efforts on its archrival, the Mercedes X-Class. It worked with a tuner to implement a Maybach pickup trucks. Meet “Amy”, a limited edition Volkswagen Amarok that is limited to 500 copies to preserve the model’s exclusivity and justify the high price of the conversion package. It costs EUR13,995 (current exchange rates: EUR16,200). What do you get for the price tag of a new Polo? The supermini’s German pricing starts at EUR13,000.

Carlex Design can transform your Amarok into an excellent pickup truck with a split personality. The exterior is rugged and tough, but the interior has been softened with Nappa leather and fancy quilting.

The majority of upgrades were done on the exterior. This includes black structural protective paint for front and rear bumpers, wheel ar extensions, hood lip and for the taillight frames and headlight frames. Carlex Design will also include a set BF Goodrich All Terrain A tires and the cool body stickers that date back to the 1980s.

Although the Amarok may have a powerful V6 diesel engine, an aftermarket specialist will make it sound more like a V8 through a new exhaust system that can be controlled via a smartphone app. The VW workhorse can be paired with several accessories from Carlex Design. These include an extra LED lightbar mounted on the roof and beefy side sills. A suspension lift kit is also available.

The outside badges and plaques are special and help to emphasize that we are dealing with a unique Amarok. It looks like the homescreen of the infotainment system has been modified to show “Amy”, which really drives the point home.
