Porsche Taycan RSR Race Car Rendering Looks Electrifying

It takes very little to make the Taycan ready to race on the track.

Porsche is known for its racing success. A new rendering by artist Aksyonov Nikita shows how it might look if they ever make a competition-spec version Taycan. It looks amazing.

Nikita’s creation combines elements from the Taycan as well as the 911 RSR racecar. The Porsche’s new EV inspired the front end, with its integrated headlights and gills at every corner. The new version features a new front fascia, with a central intake. The front of the hood is now held down by exposed latches. A single large windshield wiper is also included.

Nikita chooses to give his Taycan RSR a 911-style design at the rear. The rear doors have been removed, as well as the massive intakes in the fenders. This wouldn’t serve any functional purpose, as the Taycan is an electric vehicle and has no combustion engine at the back. The rear deck is occupied by a large wing and a similar-sized diffuser.

If Porsche really wanted to race this vehicle, then the ETCR series of electric touring cars would be the best option. The Taycan is ideal for production-based four- and five-door vehicles. The machines will use a common powertrain to produce 402 horsepower (300kilowatts) and maximum 671 hp (671 kW) for the 2020 season.

The Taycan is Porsche’s first EV. delivery in the United States are only just beginning. The model is available with a range of powertrain options. This includes the Turbo S, which makes 616 horsepower (459 kW) in normal driving and 751 horsepower (560 kW), when Launch Control activates. There are more electric Porsches on the horizon.
