The Oscar-winning actress arrives on red carpet in style
Some of you may recall that Cadillac teamed up with Spike Lee to present the all-new Escalade earlier in the month via a 2-minute “Anthem” clip. Caddy joined forces with Regina King, a prominent member of the film industry, to promote the fifth generation full-size luxury SUV.
The winner of the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress last year gets behind the wheel and drives the Escalade to the red carpet at Dolby Theater. This theater is home to the Oscars since 2001. This video gives you a chance to see the SUV’s triple-curved OLED setup and how it looks at night. The Escalade stands out in a competitive segment with its unique OLED setup. But, the new generation offers more than just pretty screens.
Cadillac aired the “Make Your Way” commercial starring Regina King during last night’s event. The luxury American automaker sponsored the event along with Google, Verizon and Rolex. The Oscars have the second highest ad prices on TV. A 30-second spot like this can cost car manufacturers millions.
The YouTube company account hosts a second video featuring Regina King talking about her career and how Cadillacs have always been successful. Attached below is the extended clip. Regina King, a 49-year old actress, praises the iconic crest-drive vehicles. She continues to comment on Cadillac’s “swag”, which is a hip way to say they’re cool.
The revamped Escalade will be available in standard- and long-wheelbase ESV versions. It is expected to go on sale in the United States by the end of this year. In 2021, other markets will follow.
