Porsche Presses the Start Button on 2019 Macan Production

Porsche will deliver Macans with facelifts to Chinese customers in a reward for China’s success.

The Macan is a real cash cow for Porsche. It has surpassed all expectations and become the most popular model in a short time. Since the model’s 2014 launch, more than 350,000 units were sold. The Stuttgart peeps hope to maintain high sales with the mid-cycle refresh. The 2019 Macan, which was unveiled in Shanghai a month ago, has been assembled at the Leipzig factory.

It mentions that it plans to increase production faster than ever before in order to meet the high market demand. It plans to increase daily production to 420 units per day by September, when it will be able to match the Macan’s output. It would be normal for a model made in Germany by a German manufacturer to be delivered first locally. But that is not the case with Macan. A Porsche product will be shipped for the first time outside of Germany, specifically in China, this is the first Porsche product ever.

Why? It’s simple. It’s simple. The People’s Republic has grown to be Porsche’s largest customer market. More than 100,000 Macans have been shipped from this country already. This Mamba Green Metallic example will be shipped to China.

Although the idea of a Porsche SUV might still be controversial 16 years after the original Cayenne was launched, the truth is that these high-riding models have been hugely successful. Porsche, like every other company, wants to make money. The Macan and Cayenne models are highly profitable. We are working on a coupe-equipped Cayenne, and we don’t see any reason it shouldn’t be a success considering how well the BMW X6 is doing.

Porsche’s first-ever electric vehicle was launched after making a lot of money with its SUVs. The Taycan sedan is expected to be on the market by the end of this decade. A more rugged wagon variant will follow in the years that follows, as shown by the Mission E Cross Turismo.
