Jaguar F-Pace Gets a Facelift for the First Time [UPDATE]

These spy photos show a more sleek SUV.

Jaguar’s lineup is changing. There is a all-new XJ sedan, and a facelifted F1_ Type sports car. New spy shots also suggest that the F2_ F-Pace SUV will be getting a makeover. Here’s our first glimpse at the F-Pace facelift in the wild. Although camouflage hides many of the final cues, there are still some interesting details.

First, we see the headlights. The prototype headlight housings are smaller and more sculpted that the production units. The new design makes the headlights more compact and higher than the F-Pace current model. These images aren’t enough to determine if the grille has changed or if any changes have been made to the running lights and vents.

The back angle is no longer as visible. Camouflage hides any new cues. The taillights are only visible from a limited view. There is a white area above the red housing that appears larger, possibly with a smoked element. These lights also don’t seem to extend as far as the current ones.

This is all we know so far about the updated F-Pace. These images don’t reveal much and we don’t know what Jag plans for powertrains. Although the company claims that all its models will be electrified in the future, it is not clear if this includes F-Pace.

The Jaguar Land Rover hybridized Ingenium 3.0-liter Inline-six could be used to power the F-Pace’s updated F-Pace SUV. Other engines should see modest power increases. We won’t be able to know the full details of the F-Pace until it is officially revealed, which will likely occur sometime in 2020.
