McLaren Takes Its New Grand Tourer on A Grand Tour

It will be on display in 11 countries across Europe.

McLaren’s new GT will go on a European tour to give people a chance of seeing the British manufacturer’s first grand tourer.

Both potential customers and brand fans are invited to see the new car. Exclusive events for existing McLaren customers also will be held during the tour.

McLaren Automotive’s Managing Director Europe David Gilbert said that the McLaren GT was designed for long-range touring. Therefore, a Grand Tour of Europe is a fitting venue to showcase our new model. This will allow us to expand our brand into a key segment of the high-performance car sector. McLaren followers and customers are invited to join us on the McLaren GT’s summer Grand Tour. This will give them a chance not only to see the elegant new McLaren GT, but also to learn more about the entire McLaren range.

Like all McLarens it is mid-engined which makes the McLaren GT stand out from other grand tourers. Despite this, the combined 570 liters (20 cubes) of luggage space are available in both the front- and rear. The car is quieter than the Aston Martin DB11 on the highway thanks to the improved soundproofing and comfortable seats.

The engine is also in the middle – it’s the same 4-liter V8 as in all McLaren roadcars. It produces 620 horsepower for the GT. It can reach 62 mph (100 km/h) from zero in 3.2 seconds and top speed of 203 MPH (326 kph).

You can also see other McLaren cars at the tour events, in addition to the GT. The 204-mph 570S, recently launched 720S Spider and the tough McLaren Senna will all be on display.
