It is smaller than the North American Enclave.
Buick will be expanding its lineup in China by introducing new models and refreshed offerings. Buick’s product assault doesn’t end there. Images of the new Buick ENCLUDE are being leaked. This will only be available to the Chinese market. It is smaller than the Enclaves built elsewhere. GM Authority found the photos that Home may have leaked first, giving us our first glimpse at the new offering.
GM Authority states that the new Buick Enclave is built on GM’s C1 platform. This platform underpins the Chevy Blazer, Cadillac XT6 and other Cadillac models. They share the same 112.7 inch wheelbase. The Chinese Enclave measures 8.2 inches less in length and has a shorter wheelbase than the North American Enclave. This will be Buick’s biggest offering in Asia and its first three-row offering. The new Enclave will be powered by GM’s turbocharged 2.0 liter engine, which is paired with GM’s nine-speed automatic.
The Enclave’s new look looks just like a Buick even though it features an evolution of the current brand design, As GM Authority The new Enclave is very similar to the Blazer currently sold in the U.S., particularly at the front, with its split lighting elements. The headlights are located lower on the fascia and the daytime running lights are in the thin-slit lights. The new Enclave rear is identical to the North American model with a strip chrome connecting the different elements, although it’s slightly less complex.
It’s not clear if Buick will bring the Enclave, a smaller Chinese-market vehicle, to North America. Buick may bring the Enclave to America if they decide. It will be placed between the Envision or current Enclave. If that happens, the North American Enclave will be renamed the Enclave GX and the Chinese Enclave will take the standalone name. Chinese customers will soon have a new cross-over offering.
