Bentley Continental GTC Renewable Before Possible Geneva Debut

Were we able to see the W12 cabrio in Geneva tomorrow?

Bentley promises to reveal an “exciting new car” at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show on Tuesday, but it doesn’t mean that it will. This Continental GT Convertible is speculatively rendered here using the latest spy photos as a foundation. A plug-in hybrid Bentayga might be the new model.

There are good reasons to believe that the new Continental GTC will not stray too far from our digital design exercise. The droptop is unlikely be subject to any major changes to the coupe. The interior cabin will follow the same pattern as the one with fixed metal roofs, which we believe it will be.

The W12 will be found under the hood of the flagship model, which is powered by a powerful biturbo 6.0-liter engine that produces 626 horsepower (467 Kilowatts) as well as 664 pound-feet (690 Newton-meters). A smaller biturbo V8 of 4.0-liter, similar to the one in the Geneva-bound Bentayga V8, will be added to this model’s range. A plug-in hybrid model, which will combine a 2.9-liter V6 and an electric motor to produce a combined output of over 450 horsepower, will be added to the Bentley lineup.

Bentley Continental GTC Renewable Before Possible Geneva Debut

We will be keeping an eye on Bentley’s schedule for the Geneva Motor Show to determine if the Continental GTC will make an appearance. Or we will have to wait until later in the year, perhaps for the Paris Motor Show in October.

It is worth noting that the Conti convertible isn’t the only model Bentley is working on. The company is also testing the next-generation Flying Spur. However, the current model will be displayed with two new interior themes for the Geneva event.
