Flare Yellow paint is finally available in America.
[UPDATE: February 7, 2019] The gallery now includes live images from the 2019 Chicago Auto Show.
The 2019 Lexus LC500 Inspiration Edition brightens Chicago Auto Show with Flare Yellow paint covering the grand tourer’s sleek body for the first time in America. The Lexus will limit American availability to 100 of the colorful coupes and it goes on sale April 6th for $106,210.
The exterior of the LC 500 Inspiration edition’s LC 500 has exposed carbon fiber elements for its roof and lower grille insert. It rides on 21-inch dark wheels with a variety of Y-shaped spokes.
The yellow Alcantara door panels inserts evoke the exterior shade when occupants step inside. The seats are covered in semi-aniline white leather with yellow stitching.
The standard LC 500 has the same powertrain. The 5.0-liter V8 generates 471 horsepower. It is routed to the rear wheels via a 10-speed auto. In 4.4 seconds, the coupe can reach 60 mph in 60 minutes.
100 people who purchase the LC 500 Inspiration Edition get a bag with matching stitching and a Flare Yellow lining.
For several months, Lexus has displayed the Flare Yellow paint on its LC 500. The bright color was introduced to the coupe during Monterey Car Week. At the 2018 Paris Motor Show, the company presented a production version (gallery at top) to Europe.
After displaying a convertible concept at Detroit Auto Show, Lexus seems ready to expand the LC line-up. It is rumored that production versions will soon be available. The droptop would look stunning in bright yellow.
