Cadillac XT5 Sport Package Introduces Chicago's Darker Design

Exterior features include a gloss black grille and side steps, as well as clear taillight lenses.

The 2019 Cadillac XT5 Sport Package brings a darker look to this premium crossover at the Chicago Auto Show. This spring, the special model will go on sale. This package adds $2995 to the Luxury trim, and makes Premium Luxury grade $1995 more costly.

The XT5 Sports Package features a gloss black grille and a metallic surround. It rides on 20-inch wheels in Technical Gray. Clear taillight lenses are available and step accents can be seen on the sides of this crossover. You will also receive LED headlights as an option for the Luxury trim, but they are standard for Premium Luxury.

Buyers have two options for interior upholstery. You can choose from a combination of Cirrus and Jet Black, or a completely black cabin. Aluminum trim is used throughout the interior of both options. Special edition XT5 comes with sport pedals.

Despite being called Sport Edition, the XT5 still performs as it is. Only one drivetrain remains: a 3.6-liter V6 producing 310 horsepower (231 Kilowatts) & 271 pound-feet (367 Newton meters) of torque. The standard model comes with an eight-speed automaker, which drives the front wheels. However, all-wheel drive is possible.

The Cadillac XT5 will be refreshed soon.

Premium Luxury and Luxury grades include a Driver Awareness Package, which includes forward collision alert with low speed automatic braking including pedestrian detection. You also get lane keep, lane departure warning and follow distance indicators. The Premium Luxury trim comes with a $1,595 Driver Assistance Package, which adds adaptive cruise control, parking assistance, and a more sophisticated automated braking system.
