Bulletproof Escalade is the Most Badass Security Car Around

Your post-apocalyptic bunker has arrived on wheels.

General Motors has begun work on the next generation Cadillac Escalade, and the new SUV already seems promising. Cadillac, aftermarket companies and other organizations are giving the current model a proper sendoff. They have special editions as well as wild tuning projects. AddArmor, an organization founded by Special Operations veterans and law enforcement veterans, joins the party, with a new armored Escalade.

It looks just like what we would drive in the end of the world. AddArmor says that it can withstand all types of attacks. Its levels of explosive and ballistic protection enable it to withstand high-velocity 30-06 and 7.62 munitions. Armored Escalade is equipped with two-inch thick ballistic glass that can stop high-powered rifle rounds.

It’s all impressive but AddArmor has a different way to armor your body than traditional thick steel plates. This is a great alternative that can add a lot of weight. The company uses carbon-composite panels, which are almost 10 times stronger than ballistic metal but weigh about 60 percent less.

Jeff Engen Anderson of AddArmor comments that the AddArmor Executive Protection Package Escalade is “the pinnacle” of executive protection and comfort. Our Executive Protection Package combines world-class security and an impressive array of amenities to improve client productivity while on the road.

More badass Escalades:

Anderson refers to the Escalade’s additional cabin space, which has a roof that is raised by 4.5 inches. The headliner on the interior is covered in Alcantara and lit by color-shifting ambient LED lighting. A 32-inch HD smart TV is also available onboard. There’s Wi-Fi hotspot, a Sony sound system with iPod/iPhone compatibility and a 360-degree camera.

AddArmor installs a heavier suspension and larger brakes to ensure that the Escalade can handle the extra weight.
