The Corvette Z06 is the basis for the GTR. It features a 7.0-liter twin turbocharged LS7 engine from Lingenfelter Performance Engineering. Although details are not available, the engine produces an impressive 800 horsepower and 800 lb-ft torque. The engine also features a StopTech STR braking mechanism (with six-piston front calipers, and four-piston back calipers), and a Corsa exhaust system with unique tips.
The Corvette’s styling features include an aggressive body kit, a matte-black rear fascia and lightweight HRE CF40 carbon fibre wheels (they weigh only 22 lbs each) with Michelin Pilot Sport P2 Zero Pressure tires. The interior features “Spinneybeck hand tipped leather interior accents” as well as other special touches.
Jeff Nowicki is the president of Specter Werkes. He stated that “from the BASF pearl paint to the HRE carbon wheels to the Lingenfelter motor, there’s never had a GTR like it and we believe it will resonate with all sports car enthusiasts.”
