The C6 ‘Vette ZR1 has only a few hundred kilometers on the odometer. Hennessey’s HPE750 upgrade package is now available for the 6.2-liter supercharged engine V8. The upgrades make the coupe sound wild. The idle is as unruly as grandma’s mashed potatoes. As the revs rise, the whine of the supercharger starts to come from underneath the hood.

According to the dyno, this Corvette produces 677.79 horsepower (505 Kilowatts) as well as 662.46 pounds-feet (892 Newton meters) of torque at its wheels. The factory stock ratings are 638 horsepower (476 kW) & 604 lb/ft (819 Nm). Hennessey’s equipment shows that the powerplant is unmodified and produces 530.28 HP (395 kW) at the road and 549.55 (745Nm) at the road. The company’s upgrades have increased the output by 147.51 HP (110 kW) or 112.91 lb/ft (153 Nm).


Hennessey claimed the HPE750 package for its C6 ZR1 muscle machine allowed it to reach 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 2.9 seconds, and 150 mph (241 Kph) within 13.1 seconds. According to the tuner, the top speed was 217 mph (349 km/h). New mid pipes, high flow catalytic converters and an updated intercooler were part of the powertrain upgrades.

Hennessey’s Dyno displays the ZR1 modern producing 654 horsepower (488 kW) at wheels. This means that the company’s tuned model from the previous generation puts down more power than a stock vehicle.
