This floorplan is unlike anything we’ve ever seen.
The inaugural RVX tradeshow is currently attracting camping and motorhome enthusiasts in Salt Lake City. Leisure Travel Vans will also be there with a concept RV called the Unity Rear Lounge. It’s based upon the venerable Mercedes Benz Sprinter chassis cab. Leisure Travel Vans provides the RV portion. They combine luxury with lots of technology and clever packaging to create a Super B-class motorhome.
More Debuts at X:
The large lounge area at the rear will be a draw for RV enthusiasts. This is why the machine’s name. This camper’s cornerstone is a large sectional sofa with powered recliners. It spans almost the entire width of the RV. This area can also be converted to a bed. A 32-inch TV is mounted next to two large windows that allow you to enjoy the outdoors while lounging in your RV.
A separate, stand-up shower is located just forward of the living space. It has a large door that can be used to shut off the lounge area from the rest. The narrow hallway is home to a separate toilet and sink, while the front half of RV is used for cooking and dining. There are many configurations that allow for more counter space, a table and even a second bed. Additional entertainment is provided by a second TV above the sink.
Van Life of a Different Sort
Dometic IoT Solution is a clever system that controls all of the RV’s electrical components. Six touchscreens in the camper can monitor and control everything, including lighting, climate control, water tanks and batteries, as well as LP gas. You can connect the system to your smartphone or tablet for wireless monitoring and control.
The Rear Lounge Concept RV is the latest in the Unity line of Leisure Travel Vans. Although it’s called a “concept”, the company says pre-orders can be placed now and deliveries are expected to begin in the fall.
