Gonzales’ design combines elements from the GT-R, Italdesign GT-R50 and just a bit of the Nissan Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo. The grille is large and hexagonal with the automaker’s signature V-shaped accent. Gonzales adds LEDs to the front fenders and gives the vehicle an angular look.

It is designed after the company’s old LMP1 GT-R racecar. In an interview , a Nissan executive Shiro Nagura said that the 3.0-liter V6 from the LMP1 is “a kind of god-child” of the road-going GT-R. It is a true ancestor of the future Nissan GT-R engine.

The Nissan GT-R50 is the current model, and it will be available until a new GT-R arrives. The supercar costs $1.12million but only 50 are being built, making them a rare collector’s item. The 3.8-liter twin turbo V6 produces 710 horsepower and 481 pound-feet.
