Ford is pleased to announce that preliminary testing data from the Michigan State Police has shown that the 2020 Ford Police Interceptor Utility police car is the fastest and most agile in America. The automaker won’t reveal exact performance numbers but claimed that the vehicle is the fastest and most efficient cop car, with speeds of 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) and 0-100mph (0-160 km/h).
Stephen Tyler, Ford’s police brand marketing manager, says that the all-new 2020 Police Interceptor Utility can save significant fuel without sacrificing safety, passenger, or cargo space.
Tyler refers to the average fuel consumption for the new police car. It is expected to get at least 24 MPG. Ford claims that the new hybrid Interceptor Utility with a 3.7-liter V6 will be 40 percent more efficient than its predecessor. However, final EPA-estimated ratings for the vehicle are not yet available.
According to the manufacturer, the new model could save as much as $3,500 annually on fuel bills. The new model could reduce fuel costs by more than $126million, according to a quick analysis of the 2017 sales of Police Interceptor Utilities.
The new Police Interceptor Utility comes standard with an all-wheel-drive system. It also includes a Bluetooth pass-through voice command, a Ford modem, Bluetooth pass through voice commands, full LED headlights, wig-wag capabilities, four programmable steering wheels switches and more.
The 2020 Ford Police Interceptor Utility Utility is available for order now. First customer deliveries are planned for the summer of 2019. With a five percent increase in sales this year, the model is America’s best-selling police vehicle.
