There is also a Ferrari 575 Superamerica and C5 Corvette Z06 available.
Motor1.com car-crazy readers, here’s a difficult question. It’s not easy to see a wrecked Supercar or one that has been abandoned. The latter is what we have today, and it’s no ordinary supercar. This Porsche Carrera GT could be the only one in the world sporting this particular shade.
These photos were taken by Cherongermando via Instagram. He shared his photos and the story about this Porsche. It is currently in China at an abandoned Maserati/Ferrari dealership. This dealership was, according to Motor, the first of its type in China. It is not known if the Carrera GT was ever actually sold or if it was just being kept there.
According to the report, the dealership began to decline in 2007. It also states that the Chinese government cracked down on corruption and excessive consumption may have resulted in the location being closed down and abandoned. According to the photographer, the Porsche has been there unmolested since 2012. However, it does have company as a C5 CorvetteZ06 and Ferrari 575 Superamerica are also present in the building.
The Porsche is covered in dust, but it doesn’t look bad. It is believed to be the 1,255th Porsche built. The exterior color Zanzibar Red Metallic was one of three examples. Time can make it more difficult to see components, such as rubber seals or hoses, which can dry up and cause leaks and ruptures. It is possible that gasoline in the tank and fuel system may be varnished by now. This means that you shouldn’t just jump behind the wheel to drive it away.
It seems that nobody is legally able or interested in doing this anyway. It is not clear what the future holds for the Porsche and other cars, but we hope someone steps in before they become lost causes.
