This SUV is a range-topping.
BMW’s flagship range-topper model is coming soon. The X7 will be the top-of-the-line SUV for BMW and should take inspiration from the 2017 concept. This rendering shows a realistic view of BMW’s new range-topping model, thanks to patent photos and spy images.
The IndianAutosBlog image shows a stylish, sharp SUV. While the front fascia is inspired by the concept, the rest of its body looks very similar to the Audi Q7. The headlights are angled and connected to the dual kidney grille. A single lower section of the grille extends from the bumper to one end.
This rendering is very similar to the patent image that we saw less than one week ago. Although it shares many cues with concept, the rendering has some distinctive elements that separate the production model from prototype. For one, the door handles are not flush with the body and the dual kidney grilles and side diffuser vents get a more refined look.
Although the interior of the X7 is still unknown, we do know that it will feature the most advanced infotainment system. This includes the same digital instrument cluster as the 8Series and will be available in both six- or seven-seat configurations. The BMW biturbo, 4.4-liter V8 should be paired with an eight-speed automatic ZF transmission. The range could also include a diesel option.
In a few months the new BMW X7 will debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show in October. Although pre-production at BMW’s Spartanburg facility, South Carolina has begun, road-going models won’t arrive until a few months later.
