In the S version, the sedan can produce up to 416 horsepower.
Mercedes’ compact cars are selling well, which has led to the CLA Shooting Brake being kept alive and a new member called the GLB. These spy shots show that the AMG versions, which are faster than their predecessors, are here to stay. This means that a new CLA 45 will soon be available. The A45 is about to get S and base versions. This means that the CLA equivalent will likely be available in two different states of tune. You can be sure to find the compact AMG you want by adding the AMG versions of both the A-Class Sedan or GLB.
Mercedes has not yet revealed the warm CLA35, but the spy images below show that the testing phase of the 45-version has entered an advanced phase due to the reduced amount of camouflage applied to the prototypes. The car’s front features include a swirly disguise that hides the Panamericana grille, and a narrower bumper with larger air intakes. On the rear, camo is applied to the bumper with a diffuser, flanked by quad exhausts. Although we aren’t sure what the prototype looks like, it appears to have slightly larger wheel arches than the regular .
Only the top-of-the line CLA will come with 4Matic and an eight-speed, dual clutch automatic transmission. This is inherited from A45. The turbocharged 2.0-liter gasoline engine will provide the power for the sedan. It comes in 383- or 416 horsepower flavors. A drift mode will replicate the tail-happy feeling you get in rear-wheel-drive cars.
The CLA 45 will not be revealed until the end of the year. However, logic suggests that Mercedes-AMG will unveil the S first and then the CLA 35. These two AMG derivatives should be created by the newly launched CLA Shooting Brake.
