Unveiled 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat with 600+ horsepower

Dodge has unveiled the 2015 Challenger SRT Hellcat and Challenger SRT Hellcat. This supercharged V8 engine produces more than 600 horsepower.

The facelifted Challenger has high-performance models with an aluminum “powerbulge” hood and restyled headlights. There is also a duckbill front splitter. It also features a new rear vale and LED taillights that can be seen from blocks away.

Challenger SRT Hellcat is even more advanced with a larger front splitter and rear spoiler, as well as an “Air Catcher” inlet port that feeds ram air directly into the engine’s air box via the driver-side parking light.

The Challenger SRT has 20-inch forged aluminum wheels while the Challenger SRT Hellcat rides on lightweight 20-inch forged aluminium wheels. Pirelli P Zero Nero rubber tires are used on the Challenger SRT Hellcat. This model also features the most comprehensive front brake package ever seen in an SRT vehicle. It features 390mm (15.4 inch) Brembo two-piece Brembo rotors with six piston calipers, which promise “outstanding heat management/thermal potential and longevity.”

The cabin is identical to the standard model but it has a nice flat-bottomed steering column and heated front seats with Nappa leather or Alcantara upholstery. The instrument cluster also features retro-inspired gauges as well as a 7-inch driver information screen. Hectic Mesh (SRT), Dark Engine Turn (SRT Hellcat), aluminum trim, and Uconnect infotainment with an 8.4 inch display are other notable features.

The Challenger SRT entry-level model is powered by a 6.4-liter HEMI H8 engine. It produces 485 bhp (361kW) and 475lb-ft (643Nm), respectively. This is an increase of 15 BHP (11 kW), and 5 Lb-ft (6Nm). The SRT Hellcat offers buyers the opportunity to upgrade to a supercharged HEMI V8 engine that produces over 600 bhp (447kW). Both can be linked to a six-speed manual transmission or an eight speed automatic transmission.

A “Drive Modes” system has been added to the cars that can adjust steering, traction and horsepower output. You can access the Uconnect infotainment to see Sport and Track modes, as well as a custom programmable setting.

The SRT Hellcat has two key fobs that allow you to tailor the performance. The red key fob allows the driver access to the car’s full potential. While the black key fob limits the driver’s ability to achieve a lower engine output, the black key fob does not. The SRT Hellcat and SRT Hellcat both have Valet Modes that dramatically reduce horsepower and torque, to stop any Ferris Bueller-like antics.
