Fiat’s Aegea compact sedan was unveiled at the 2015 Istanbul Motor Show. The Linea is being replaced.
Fiat’s new Aegea is a replacement for the Linea. It has a much more refined design than the Linea. This compact sedan was developed at home at the FCA Style Centre in Italy and will be manufactured in Turkey at the Bursa factory. It will be available in more than 40 countries.
Fiat’s new Aegea stands out against other budget sedans such as the Skoda Rapid and Dacia Logan. It measures 4.5m long, 1.78m wide, and 1.48m tall. The trunk can hold up to 510 liters and has a 2.64m wheelbase.
The vehicle can seat five people. It will be offered with two gasoline engines or two MultiJet II turbodiesel engines, with power ranges of 95 PS (70kW) to 120PS (88kW). Fiat offers manual and automatic transmissions depending on the engine option. The most economical version will consume less that 4 liters/100 km (58.8 MPG US, 70 MPG UK).
The 2015 Fiat Aegea features a Uconnect infotainment platform with a 5-inch touchscreen color display. It supports TomTom satellite navigation and handsfree Bluetooth. You can also add a rearview camera to the vehicle.
The Fiat Aegea sales are expected to begin in Turkey in November.
