Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. has today unveiled the all-new Skyline coupe in Japan. This grand touring coupe is designed to set new standards for driving performance and dynamic styling.
Driving is an experience of joy
The Nissan GT-R is the most anticipated vehicle, but it’s important to remember the Skyline Coupe. Since 1957, the Skyline range was manufactured by Prince Motor Company. It has been known as the Nissan Skyline ever since the merger of Prince and Nissan.
The Skyline 12 th generation Skyline is based upon the Skyline sedan which was released in mid 2006. However, it is powered by the VQ37VHR. The V6’s 3.7-liter power output is 333 horsepower, 25 more than the VQ35VHR of the sedan. It also comes with a Variable Valve Events and Lift (VVEL), system. This is combined with the fully symmetrical air intakes to the right and left, which results in quick acceleration, high power, and low fuel consumption.
The interior of the new Skyline Coupe is designed to make driving enjoyable. The interior must be perfect for an engine such as the VQ37VHR. The interior comes in two colors: Fauve with real wooden trim and Cool Black with aluminum trim.
The new coupe features a lot of technical trickery, including an Intelligent Key system to enhance theft prevention, Blind Side Monitor system, optional rearview mirror system, optional HDD Carwings navigation system with touch screen, and Bose sound system. Safety features are well represented by all available airbag systems (SRS Air Bag System and SRS Side Air Bag System), ABS Electronic Braking Distribution & Brake Assist systems and Vehicle Dynamic Control. Also, Nissan’s new “pop up engine hood” technology.
