Every round of Stock Car Brasil will be streamed live on the OTT platform.
The hugely popular Stock Cars Brazil series will be streamed live this season on Motorsport Network’s exclusive OTT platform Motorsport.tv. This is a first in many countries.
All 12 rounds of this championship will be streamed live starting this weekend in a deal that sees Motorsport.tv retaining exclusive rights around the world with non-exclusive rights to Brazil and Argentina. Motorsport.tv’s partner channel programme has Stock Cars Brazil, which gives fans behind-the scenes content from the series stars.
Brazil’s premier domestic race series is one the most important in South America. It has a long tradition of attracting former Formula One drivers. The series was established in 1979 and has provided non-stop racing action for over 40 years. Teams and drivers compete on the track.
The series is important not only in South America but also internationally. Drivers from various race series like Formula One, IndyCar and FIA World Endurance Championship, as well as 24 Hours of Le Mans, take to the track head-to-head. Ex-Formula One Grand Prix winner Felipe Massa, Rubens Barrichello, as well as ex F1 drivers Nelson Piquet Jr. and Riccardo Zoonta, as well as Daniel Serra (two-time 24 Hours of Le Mans Class Winner).
Motorsport.tv has filmed Stock Cars Brasil for the first time. This shows a continued evolution of the OTT platform, which is moving toward more live content. Over 1000 livestreams are hosted annually from more than 125 racing series. The platform also offers a large collection of video on-demand content.
The platform recently launched Motorsport.tv.tv Live which will deliver breaking news from all over the globe from studios in London, Miami and London.
Motorsport Network’s 56 million monthly users on global platforms such as Motor1.com and Motorsport.com will increase the visibility of Stock Cars Brazil. This will allow them to bring the race series to a new audience. This will not only increase the strength and appeal of the series for consumers, but it will also make the championship more commercially viable, attracting more manufacturers and major brands to the event.
