It will be a sedan. It could be a sedan. It should be amazing, regardless of what it is.
Rumours of an N-branded Halo model have been swirling since . A two-seat, mid-engined sports car. It appears that the development of the performance vehicle is still in its early stages. The so-called N-halo model is expected to arrive soon according to a new report.
Thomas Schemera is the Vice President of high performance and motorsport at Hyundai. He said that Hyundai’s N division was working on a standalone model with a halo. Schemera stated that the I30 N, Veloster H are the final two phases of N vehicles. He spoke to AutoExpress. Next up is the range-topper.
Schemera promises, “I can tell Albert Biermann [Hyundai’s engineering boss] and I are interested in hot topics and have some ideas for a Halo model,” Rest assured, we’re working on something.
However, it is not clear what the brand considers a Halo model. According to reports, there is still a debate internally about whether the vehicle should be a sports car with two seats – similar to the RM 16 N concept that we tested- or a sedan like the Kia Stinger or Genesis G70. These uncertainties mean that we won’t be seeing this vehicle for a few more years.
In a previous interview, Biermann stated that “We are just beginning.” We need to be patient as our sales team isn’t used to high-performance cars. It is not a good idea to distribute too many cars at once. People would not know what to do with a custom-built car if we had started with one.
