It is impossible to be too cautious.
It is not surprising that the Coronavirus pandemic has radically changed the way we live for the future. Many people are now staying home. However, businesses still need to pay bills and, in this instance, sell cars. To keep everyone safe, Tata Motors will place customer cars in safety bubbles to prevent the spread of Covid-19 between employees and customers.
The pandemic that gripped India at the start of 2020 was not the only thing that the Indian automaker did well in the first quarter. The brand launched the new Altroz EV and Nexon EV, as well as facelifts to many of its vehicles, including the Tiago and Tigor. They needed to find a way to continue selling vehicles safely, as demand was so high in the face of the pandemic.
Tata already had a program in place to clean and thoroughly disinfect its vehicles before they were delivered to customers. They have added an additional layer of protection to the vehicles, wrapping them in a safety bubble to prevent any physical contact.
The company plans to release its new automobile PPE concept and the Gravitas SUV. This is a derivative from the Harrier, with two additional seats. The new vehicle’s debut was delayed due to supply-chain disruptions and a growing number of cases. We are also privy to the Altroz turbopetrol and HBX microSUV teases by Indian automaker, but they may be delayed.
It doesn’t matter when normal can be restored, but it’s wonderful to see innovative ideas like this to help us get there. Although the safety bubble was used in the classic automobile industry before, it is amazing to see it being used as a virus barrier.
